By addressing retained reflexes, we assist children and young people to achieve better body awareness, emotional regulation, and functional independence.
Social Thinking & Social Skills Development
We embed social thinking strategies and social skills therapy into our sessions to support meaningful peer relationships and confident communication. Through guided play, creative expression, and structured activities, children and adolescents develop practical tools for navigating social situations in positive and authentic ways.

Individual Therapy
Neurodiverse Playhouse Individual Therapy utilises a play-based, child-led approach that supports primitive reflex integration while celebrating each child and adolescent’s emerging potential and presuming competence. Primitive reflexes, essential for early development, can sometimes remain active beyond infancy, impacting movement, emotional regulation, and sensory processing. Through purposeful, engaging, play, children are guided to naturally integrate these reflexes, fostering greater body awareness, coordination, and self-regulation. By following the individuals lead and incorporating activities that align with their interests and strengths, therapy creates a joyful and empowering space for growth. This approach respects neurodivergent ways of learning and interacting, helping children build a strong foundation for emotional and cognitive development while unlocking their unique potential
Group Therapy
Neurodiverse Playhouse Group Therapy offers a dynamic space for children and adolescents to build social development skills through the Social Thinking approach. Designed for those who have progressed through our individual programs and are ready to engage in group settings, our programs focus on fostering essential social skills such as perspective-taking, self-regulation, and communication. With a play-based, child-led structure, participants are supported in understanding and managing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in relation to others.
By presuming competence and celebrating individual strengths, we create a safe and empowering environment where children and adolescents can practise these skills with peers, enhancing their ability to form meaningful relationships and navigate social situations with greater ease and confidence.
Kindy Uplift
At Neurodiverse Playhouse, we offer Kindy Uplift and Sensory Motor Programs across Brisbane, Caboolture, Logan, and the Gold Coast. Our programs are designed to support children’s executive functioning, emotional regulation, and gross and fine motor skills through engaging, play-based activities. By incorporating primitive reflex integration, we help children build coordination, confidence, and readiness for learning in an inclusive, supportive environment.
Our Sensory Motor Program focuses on helping children develop essential skills for school readiness, including motor planning, balance, and focus. Each session is tailored to children’s individual needs, ensuring small group settings that allow for personalised support and meaningful progress.
We also provide CPD sessions for educators, giving childcare teams practical strategies to support neurodiverse learners. Together, our programs empower children and centres to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, creating a strong foundation for lifelong learning and confidence.
