Welcome to Neurodiverse Playhouse, a leading provider of early intervention therapy and neurodiversity-affirming support for children, adolescents, and young adults.
At Neurodiverse Playhouse, we celebrate every individual’s unique strengths while providing evidence-informed therapy designed to support development across all stages of childhood and adolescence. Our services focus on early intervention, developmental therapy, sensory integration, primitive reflex integration, and social skills development, delivered within a warm, inclusive, and play-based environment.
Early Intervention & Developmental Support
We specialise in early intervention programs that promote emotional regulation, executive functioning, motor development, social communication, and confidence. Our child-led, play-based approach ensures that therapy feels safe, engaging, and empowering — allowing neurodiverse individuals to learn and grow at their own pace.
By identifying developmental needs early and providing targeted, strengths-based support, we help children build strong foundations for lifelong learning, wellbeing, and participation at home, school, and in the community.
Primitive Reflex Integration & Motor Development
Our therapy programs incorporate primitive reflex integration, supporting improved motor coordination, balance, posture, attention, and cognitive processing. By addressing retained reflexes, we assist children and young people to achieve better body awareness, emotional regulation, and functional independence.
Social Thinking & Social Skills Development
We embed social thinking strategies and social skills therapy into our sessions to support meaningful peer relationships and confident communication. Through guided play, creative expression, and structured activities, children and adolescents develop practical tools for navigating social situations in positive and authentic ways.

Types of Therapy offered
Individual Therapy
Neurodiverse Playhouse Individual Therapy utilises a play-based, child-led approach that supports primitive reflex integration while celebrating each child and adolescent’s emerging potential and presuming competence. Primitive reflexes, essential for early development, can sometimes remain active beyond infancy, impacting movement, emotional regulation, and sensory processing. Through purposeful, engaging, play, children are guided to naturally integrate these reflexes, fostering greater body awareness, coordination, and self-regulation. By following the individuals lead and incorporating activities that align with their interests and strengths, therapy creates a joyful and empowering space for growth. This approach respects neurodivergent ways of learning and interacting, helping children build a strong foundation for emotional and cognitive development while unlocking their unique potential
Group Therapy
Neurodiverse Playhouse Group Therapy offers a dynamic space for children and adolescents to build social development skills through the Social Thinking approach. Designed for those who have progressed through our individual programs and are ready to engage in group settings, our programs focus on fostering essential social skills such as perspective-taking, self-regulation, and communication. With a play-based, child-led structure, participants are supported in understanding and managing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in relation to others.
By presuming competence and celebrating individual strengths, we create a safe and empowering environment where children and adolescents can practise these skills with peers, enhancing their ability to form meaningful relationships and navigate social situations with greater ease and confidence.
