Understanding your child changes everything.
Every child experiences the world in their own unique way.
At Neurodiverse Playhouse, we believe that when children are understood, listened to and supported in ways that respect who they are, they are better able to participate in the activities, relationships and experiences that matter most to them.
Our role isn't to change children.
Our role is to better understand them.
Together with families, we explore the "why" behind behaviour, movement, learning and communication, creating play-based, neuroaffirming and evidence-informed supports that are individualised, meaningful and centred around each child's goals.
Through Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Paediatric Podiatry, our Sensory Motor Program, Prep Readiness, Red Light Therapy and our upcoming Therapy Day Program, we work collaboratively to help children and families navigate their journey with confidence, understanding and hope.
Because every child deserves to be understood, and understanding changes everything.
No diagnosis needed to start working with us!
Our therapy can be accessed in Playhouse, your home or at Kindy/School.
Early Intervention & Developmental and Adolescent Support
We specialise in early intervention and adolescent programs that promote emotional regulation, executive functioning, motor development, social communication, and confidence. Our child-led, play-based approach ensures that therapy feels safe, engaging, and empowering — allowing neurodiverse individuals to learn and grow at their own pace.
By identifying developmental needs early and providing targeted, strengths-based support, we help children build strong foundations for lifelong learning, wellbeing, and participation at home, school, and in the community.
Primitive Reflex Integration & Motor Development
Our therapy programs incorporate primitive reflex integration, supporting improved motor coordination, balance, posture, attention, and cognitive processing. By addressing retained reflexes, we assist children and young people to achieve better body awareness, emotional regulation, and functional independence.
Social Thinking & Social Skills Development
We embed social thinking strategies and social skills therapy into our sessions to support meaningful peer relationships and confident communication. Through guided play, creative expression, and structured activities, children and adolescents develop practical tools for navigating social situations in positive and authentic ways.
A Holistic, Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach
At Neurodiverse Playhouse, we believe in tailored, holistic therapy that honours each individual’s strengths, interests, and emerging potential. Our multidisciplinary approach blends therapy, creativity, movement, and connection to foster growth in a way that feels empowering rather than corrective.
We support neurodiverse children, adolescents, and young adults to:
- Build emotional resilience
- Strengthen executive functioning skills
- Improve fine and gross motor development
- Enhance social communication
- Develop self-confidence and self-advocacy
Join us at Neurodiverse Playhouse — where every individual’s potential is recognised, valued, and supported through compassionate, high-quality early intervention and developmental therapy.
One Team. One Plan. One Place — For Every Unique Mind
Our Philosophy
To empower all children and young people to thrive on their own terms — through child-led, play-based, neurodiversity-affirming therapy and early intervention that honours who they are, not who they're expected to be.

Day Therapy Program
Little Trailblazers
A play-based day program where confidence grows naturally.
Not every child learns best sitting at a desk.
Some children need to move before they can focus. They need to climb before they can write. They need to feel safe before they can learn.
Little Trailblazers is a small-group, neuroaffirming day program designed for children aged 4–5 years who are building the skills they'll use throughout life and in classroom environments. Through play, movement, creativity and meaningful relationships, we help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning—without expecting them to fit into one mould.
Whether your child is preparing for Prep, finding busy environments overwhelming, or simply thrives in a smaller, supportive setting, we're here to meet them where they are.

Our Therapy Services
Individual Therapy
Neurodiverse Playhouse Individual Therapy utilises a play-based, child-led approach that supports primitive reflex integration while celebrating each child and adolescent’s emerging potential and presuming competence. Primitive reflexes, essential for early development, can sometimes remain active beyond infancy, impacting movement, emotional regulation, and sensory processing. Through purposeful, engaging, play, children are guided to naturally integrate these reflexes, fostering greater body awareness, coordination, and self-regulation. By following the individuals lead and incorporating activities that align with their interests and strengths, therapy creates a joyful and empowering space for growth. This approach respects neurodivergent ways of learning and interacting, helping children build a strong foundation for emotional and cognitive development while unlocking their unique potential
Group Therapy
Neurodiverse Playhouse Group Therapy offers a dynamic space for children and adolescents to build social development skills through the Social Thinking approach. Designed for those who have progressed through our individual programs and are ready to engage in group settings, our programs focus on fostering essential social skills such as perspective-taking, self-regulation, and communication. With a play-based, child-led structure, participants are supported in understanding and managing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in relation to others.
By presuming competence and celebrating individual strengths, we create a safe and empowering environment where children and adolescents can practise these skills with peers, enhancing their ability to form meaningful relationships and navigate social situations with greater ease and confidence.
Kindy Uplift
At Neurodiverse Playhouse, we offer Kindy Uplift and Sensory Motor Programs across Brisbane, Caboolture, Logan, and the Gold Coast. Our programs are designed to support children’s executive functioning, emotional regulation, and gross and fine motor skills through engaging, play-based activities. By incorporating primitive reflex integration, we help children build coordination, confidence, and readiness for learning in an inclusive, supportive environment.
Our Sensory Motor Program focuses on helping children develop essential skills for school readiness, including motor planning, balance, and focus. Each session is tailored to children’s individual needs, ensuring small group settings that allow for personalised support and meaningful progress.
We also provide CPD sessions for educators, giving childcare teams practical strategies to support neurodiverse learners. Together, our programs empower children and centres to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, creating a strong foundation for lifelong learning and confidence.
